Nintendo Wii Outsells PS3 and Xbox 360 In Japan

Once again the Nintendo Wii outsold both the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 game consoles in Japan last month. Since the Wii was introduced in Japan last December it has sold more units than any other gaming system each month.

In September a total of 168,220 Nintendo Wii units were sold in Japan, nearly three times the amount of the 66,444 Sony PS3 systems which were sold.

A total of 3.57 million Wii units have been sold in Japan since December 2006. The Xbox 360, which was released in December 2005 has only sold 455,532 units.

Much of the Wii's success is due to the fact that this console has games which appeal to gamers of all ages.
