Will the Xbox 360 be coming to China soon

Microsoft Corp. plans to launch it's popular Xbox 360 gaming console in China sometime in the next few months. Microsoft mentioned it's intentions for the launch in China back in 2005 but was unable to give an exact date because regulators were uncertain about the product at that time.

Microsoft has been discussing the transition with local PC manufacturers and ISP's in China since late 2006 and plan to allot plenty of sales agents to promote the Xbox 360 in the area very soon. Microsoft wants to be certain that authorities, including the Chinese government of course, are comfortable with the product before anything else. The software giant has been doing a great deal of research to confirm whether or not the console will be accepted.

China has always been extremely cautious when it comes to marketing and products allowed in their country, especially when it comes to imported video games.

Microsoft has sold over 10.4 million Xbox units worldwide since the system was first launched. If they are given the go ahead you can bet there will be quite a jump in sales, especially since nearly 10% of China's population is online, which is a lot considering there are a total of 1.3 billion people living there.
