Sony sells one million PS3 unitsWednesday, January 10, 2007 Sony had a big announcement to make at this year's Consumers Electronics Show, and that is they have now reached the milestone of over one million PS3 units sold. They may not have sold as many units as the Wii at launch but the one million mark was reached faster by the PS3 than it was for the PS2. Sony also has big plans to release many new titles this year for the PS3. Some of those titles include MLB 07 The Show (also for the PSP and PS2), Grand Turismo HD Concept, Lair, Killzone: Liberation, Formula One Championship Edition and plenty more. Also in the works for 2007 is God of War II for the Sony Playstation 2. So, despite much initial criticism regarding pricing and options available for the PS3, it appears that Sony is holding their ground and doing quite well after all in this highly competitive next-generation gaming market.
